Developers from around the world are getting ready to share amazing indie gaming experiences in a few weeks at the GDC week MIX, Monday, February 27 — both well known talents and projects like industry legend Ron Gilbert’s Thimbleweed Park, Fullbright Company’s Tacoma, Yooka Laylee, and gems that haven’t had high visibility (yet) like Yonder, Punch Planet and more. We’ve posted the first batch of games to the event website, and this is looking to be one of the best line-ups ever! We’ll post more and more games over the coming days and weeks.
Along with outstanding games, The MIX has moved to a new location this year — at 981 Mission Street, a bit closer to the Moscone Convention Center. We continue to work closely with IGN and welcome marquee sponsor Patreon. Patreon is a membership platform that makes it easy for creators to get paid, which fits very well with The MIX’s goals. Patreon supported Danny O’Dwyer will host a special live stream to share selected games from the showcase on the night of the event.
Press and industry people should be sure to submit guest list requests through the event page. While we’ll accommodate as many as possible at the venue (which is larger than previous years), admissions will be limited to people with confirmation emails sent by The MIX team. Confirmation emails will go out shortly before GDC.
