About the event
The MIX came to E3 for the very first time, partnering with IndieCade – continuing the mixer events which had started at GDC in San Francisco in 2012. The MIX 5 included 43 outstanding indie games at the scenic 1010 Wilshire Rooftop, filling the space to capacity with nearly 300 attendees.
Games
Games at this year’s event came from a variety of studios, for nearly every kind of system: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, OUYA, PC, Mac, Vita, Oculus Rift, iOS and Android. Full list of exhibiting games from The MIX 5:
Guests
Journalists and editors from a wide range of outstanding press outlets came to check out the games – including representatives from the New York Times, NPR, Associated Press, Yahoo, IGN, Gamespot, Kotaku, Polygon, Rock Paper Shotgun, Destructoid, GameTrailers, Eurogamer, Ars Technica, The Escapist, Engadget, UBM/Gamasutra, Machinima, Twitch, Hardcore Gamer, Killscreen, 148apps, Cheap Ass Gamer and Unwinnable — as well as guests from Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, GOG.com, and others in the industry.
Industry
Industry folks from a number of top gaming platforms, channels, events and more also visited with indies throughout the evening.
