This year’s GDC week was the fullest, most impactful yet for indie games showcased with The MIX!
DAY ONE
We had our big annual showcase event Monday night, with over 50 games, press and industry guests.
Jenny Windom hosted the evening’s live stream, which Twitch promoted on their home page.
GameSpot ran a preview stream earlier in the day on their home page, which has also become an excellent annual tradition! Host Michael Higham shared playthroughs for 6 amazing games.
Best of The MIX
Judges Anya Combs from Kickstarter, Matt Fini from Discord and Scott Reismanis from indiedb selected Paper Cult’s Bloodroots as their Best of The MIX top pick and MorbidWare’s Textorcist as runner up.
Guests at the event submitted ballots for two additional winners: House House’s Untitled Goose as their top pick and CatBean Games’ Calico as runner up.
